Fathers Day and the DC Temple

This post is a week late but better late than never.

On Fathers Day,  after church we went to Qdoba and the to the park...
The Boys (Chase and Jaron) played Frisbee, Brek played with some balls that we bought for him (he was in pure heaven), and Bailie ran around played with her pretend giraffe and unicorn (once again pure heaven).

I am so lucky to have such stud muffins in my life

Love him

Happy Fathers Day to my love! You are so amazing and the greatest Daddy ever (well besides my daddy).

One day this last week we went to see the DC temple.
It is SO different than any other temple I have seen. It might just be my new favorite.
It is surrounded by forest and has little trails everywhere. A deer walked across the sidewalk 20 feet in front of us!

This is the best picture I got of them. Sad. I know.

Saturday and Sunday Activities

Saturday was a long work day for Deveren and it's a REALLY long day for us... Plus it was really overcast so we couldn't go to the pool :(
I made the kids a fort and they played and played and played in that thing all day!
It was great.

Sunday we headed to Georgetown and Jaron came along. He is a close family friend, but Dev and I have adopted him :)
Here we are on the metro

We ate a yummy chicago pizza place but I can't remember the name of it

I didn't take any pictures of Georgetown... Oops

But we found a building that Talyn is familiar with and had to take a picture...

Aren't you proud we found it Tal???

Carnival... Kind of

Last week the gang headed to Bethesda to check out a carnival that was there.
We got there later than we wanted so a lot of the booths were closed. Bailie really wanted her face painted, but it was closed. We wanted cotton candy, but they didn't have any. Lame.

They got balloons

Miss B got to color a frog-faced hat

She got to get dressed up and have a tea party...
It was cute! They taught the kids manners and how to drink the tea.

And Bailie's Favorite
Sidewalk chalk!

And here are some pictures of the munchkins

Pool, Memorial Weekend, and Shades

The pool at our complex FINALLY opened! We are thrilled.
Can't you tell?

On Sunday after church we headed downtown to see what DC had to offer for Memorial Weekend...
Brek got to stick his feet (or entire body) in the fountain. Bailie fell asleep

You can't really tell in this picture, but he got soaked

I think we went downtown at the wrong time... cause the only thing we could find was this parade of motorcycles.

Apparently we caught the tail end of 400,000 motorcycles cruisin' the National Mall.
It was pretty cool.
This is for you, Dad.

I bought the kids some new shades for the summer... Any bets on how long they will last?
