Poor Baby

Ok so my little man gets circumsized today.... I'm having some serious anxiety about it!! I've never had to do this before so if you have any tips for me please let me know!! Wish us luck...

The Scoop

Ok so here is the story... I woke up on Tuesday (the 8th) morning and my whole body was tingly... Like it was asleep. It was very weird. I thought maybe I was hungry or I slept funny. I ate a donut for breakfast to see if that would help, and it didn't. I had a doctors appointment at 10:30 so I asked my doctor about it and she said if it continues or if I start having chest pains or headaches I need to go to the hospital to be evaluated... They checked me and I was 1 cm. dialated (so pretty much nothing) so she stripped my membranes and sent me on my way.

We had errands to run so we went to the bank and Costco. I was still really tingly and getting nervous cause I didn't know what was happening. I broke down while we were at Costco... I started balling and so Dev told me to call my doctor and let her know what was happening. She told me to go be evaluated at the hospital.

We went to the hospital and got pre-checked in. They hooked me up to the blood pressure machine and it took my blood pressure every 10 minutes for an hour. My blood pressure was totally fine... LAME! I really wanted to be induced and get him out of me!! The sweet nurse went and told my doctor my blood pressure was fine and to see what he wanted to do next ... He told her to check me, and if I was dialated to at least a 3, then I could stay... If I wasn't dialating then I had to go home. I looked at Deveren and said, "Give me my clothes and let's get ready to go." A few hours ago I was dialated to a 1, and there is no way i'm more than that. The nurse checked me and I was a 3+4!! YAY! I was so shocked!

So they put my IV in.... It took 2 nurses to attempt putting it in.
They failed....
4 stabs later....



Finally the anistesiologist had to come do it.

After that SuPeF fUn experience, I got my epidural.... Let's just say PURE HEAVEN! The doctor came in and broke my water after the epidural kicked in (about 6 pm), and we just waited...

I kept feeling lots of pressure so I had the nurse check me. I was dialated 4 cm at 7:20 pm. At 8 pm I was feeling SO MUCH PRESSURE, but I didn't want to bug the nurse again cause it had only been 40 minutes, but I felt like I needed to push so I called the nurse in to check me again...

She checked me and I was COMPLETE (Fully dialated)! I had dialated 6 cm in 40 minutes!! HoLy CrAp!

I pushed for 15 minutes and then he was here! He was born at 8:17 pm.

Don't look too close.... I just had a baby!!
