Deveren is on a diet and I am trying to eat healthier so we can get in shape and I am having the hardest time coming up with yummy, semi-healthy dinners for us. We are looking for high protein meals like chicken, steak, etc. If you have any, please let me know! (The easier the better)

This Is Why

Aside from MANY things that my husband is/does, this is one of the things that I love most about him. Last night he took Bailie on a date. I got her in cute clothes and curled her hair so she could look so pretty for Dad. Here they are before they left...


He took her to see the movie Up. I told Deveren to take the camera and take a couple pictures while they were out. This is what I found when I turned on the camera...







Is he not the cutest Daddy/Husband!!?? This is why I love him!! These pictures are priceless...

Bailie had a blast with her Dad and loved the movie. I think date night will be once a week now!

Family Update

Let me just say that having 2 kids is FaBuLoUs! I love it! I have the best kids ever. It has been hard waking up every few hours to feed Brek, but other than that it's great!
I feel great physically and mentally and I have never loved my family more than I do right now! Deveren has been AmAzInG! He is just starting to work again, which has been awesome cause he has been such great help!
I was really nervous about how Bailie would act now that Brek is here and she isn't the only child anymore and she has done so well! She hasn't gotten very jealous at all! She has her moments, but she is 2... We make sure to give her the attention that she needs. She gets to go on scooter rides and special dates with daddy (I will eventually take her to do fun things, but I am nursing so that takes up lots of my time right now...)
She is such a big helper! She always has been really helpful but it's a whole new level now! She loves to get diapers, burp rags, and outfits for him, throw dirty diapers away, put toys away, and get blankets for Brek.
She is so gentle with him. She gives him the softest loves and kisses... It is so cute! She calls him her little buddy. I hope she is always the best big sister!
Brek is growing like crazy! I know i'm late posting but he had his 2 week appointment last friday and here are his stats....

Height: 20 1/2 inches
Weight: 8 lbs.
(That's right he gained a whole pound in 2 weeks!!!! I'm so proud)

I will be taking pictures of my kiddos this weekend and I will post those asap!

Poor Baby

Ok so my little man gets circumsized today.... I'm having some serious anxiety about it!! I've never had to do this before so if you have any tips for me please let me know!! Wish us luck...

The Scoop

Ok so here is the story... I woke up on Tuesday (the 8th) morning and my whole body was tingly... Like it was asleep. It was very weird. I thought maybe I was hungry or I slept funny. I ate a donut for breakfast to see if that would help, and it didn't. I had a doctors appointment at 10:30 so I asked my doctor about it and she said if it continues or if I start having chest pains or headaches I need to go to the hospital to be evaluated... They checked me and I was 1 cm. dialated (so pretty much nothing) so she stripped my membranes and sent me on my way.

We had errands to run so we went to the bank and Costco. I was still really tingly and getting nervous cause I didn't know what was happening. I broke down while we were at Costco... I started balling and so Dev told me to call my doctor and let her know what was happening. She told me to go be evaluated at the hospital.

We went to the hospital and got pre-checked in. They hooked me up to the blood pressure machine and it took my blood pressure every 10 minutes for an hour. My blood pressure was totally fine... LAME! I really wanted to be induced and get him out of me!! The sweet nurse went and told my doctor my blood pressure was fine and to see what he wanted to do next ... He told her to check me, and if I was dialated to at least a 3, then I could stay... If I wasn't dialating then I had to go home. I looked at Deveren and said, "Give me my clothes and let's get ready to go." A few hours ago I was dialated to a 1, and there is no way i'm more than that. The nurse checked me and I was a 3+4!! YAY! I was so shocked!

So they put my IV in.... It took 2 nurses to attempt putting it in.
They failed....
4 stabs later....



Finally the anistesiologist had to come do it.

After that SuPeF fUn experience, I got my epidural.... Let's just say PURE HEAVEN! The doctor came in and broke my water after the epidural kicked in (about 6 pm), and we just waited...

I kept feeling lots of pressure so I had the nurse check me. I was dialated 4 cm at 7:20 pm. At 8 pm I was feeling SO MUCH PRESSURE, but I didn't want to bug the nurse again cause it had only been 40 minutes, but I felt like I needed to push so I called the nurse in to check me again...

She checked me and I was COMPLETE (Fully dialated)! I had dialated 6 cm in 40 minutes!! HoLy CrAp!

I pushed for 15 minutes and then he was here! He was born at 8:17 pm.
